Plain-English Summary (for reference only — not a substitute for the rule text above)
This summary is not the rule. The rule text controls.
When you file a complaint in a case involving land, you must include a clear description of the property. This helps the court and the other party understand exactly what land is being disputed.
You also need to include an "abstract of title" in your complaint or answer. This is a summary of the ownership history of the property. You only need to go back as far as the point where the two sides' ownership claims split from a common owner, not necessarily the full history of the land.
