Rule 1067 Trial Without Jury

When you have a quiet title case (a lawsuit to settle who legally owns a piece of property), the judge will hear it alone, without a jury.

The judge follows the same procedures used in other non-jury trials, which are laid out in Rule 1038. That means both sides present their evidence and arguments directly to the judge, who then decides the outcome.
