Rule 1652 Venue

When you file a lawsuit to enforce a lien claim, you must file it in the same county where the lien claim was originally filed. You cannot choose a different county just because it might be more convenient.

If the property covered by the lien crosses into more than one county, and lien claims have been filed in those counties, you have more flexibility. In that situation, you can bring your lawsuit in any of the counties where a claim was filed.
