Rule 1915.14 Disobedience of Order. Arrest. Contempt

If you ignore or refuse to follow a court order in a custody case (other than the custody order itself), a judge can issue a bench warrant for your arrest. A bench warrant means police can pick you up and bring you to court.

If the judge believes you deliberately chose to disobey the order, you could be found in contempt of court. Before that happens, you have the right to a hearing where the judge will listen to the facts. Being found in contempt can lead to serious penalties like fines or jail time.
