Rule 1956 No Responsive Pleading Required

If you receive a petition or a certified emergency order, you do not have to file any written response to it. The court does not require you to submit paperwork saying whether you agree or disagree with what was filed.

Any statement in the petition that you do not admit is automatically treated as denied. This means the other side still has to prove their claims, even without you filing a formal response.
