Rule 2074 Effective Date. Pending Actions

This rule sets the start date for when Pennsylvania's civil procedure rules took effect. They went into force on February 2, 1942.

The rules applied not just to new cases filed after that date, but also to cases that were already in progress at the time. If you had a lawsuit going on when February 2, 1942 arrived, these rules applied to your case too.
