Rule 2159 Fictitious name act saved

This rule is short and simple. It says that Pennsylvania's court procedures do not cancel or change any state laws about registering fictitious business names.

If a business operates under a made-up or trade name (like "Joe's Pizza" instead of "Joseph Smith"), that business still has to follow Pennsylvania's registration laws. The court rules do not get in the way of those requirements.
