Rule 2178 Actions between a corporation or similar entity and members thereof

Members of a corporation or similar organization can sue the organization itself if they have a legal dispute. The organization can also sue its own members when needed.

These lawsuits can involve just members, just non-members, or a mix of both. The rule simply makes clear that being part of an organization does not stop you from taking that organization to court, or stop the organization from taking legal action against you.
