Rule 223 Administering Oath to Stenographer

Before a stenographer can start recording what happens during a grand jury investigation, a judge must swear them in. This oath requires them to accurately record everything that takes place.

This is separate from another oath covered in Rule 224. A stenographer must take both oaths before doing their job.
