When you file any paperwork in a Pennsylvania juvenile court case, the top of every document needs to include three specific pieces of information. This applies to all documents and court orders in the case.

Every document must show the phrase "In the interest of" followed by the young person's name, the case docket number, and the name of the court handling the case. The docket number is the unique number the court assigns to track the case.

If you are preparing documents for a juvenile court case, check that all three of these items appear at the top before you submit anything. Missing any one of them means your document does not meet the court's requirements.
