Rule 1516 Service of the Dispositional Order

After a judge decides what will happen in a juvenile case, the court must write up that decision in an official order. This written order has to be sent out quickly to everyone involved.

The order goes to the young person, their parents or guardians, the attorneys on both sides, and anyone else the judge says should receive a copy. Everyone affected by the decision has the right to know what it says.
