Rule 10.4 Appeals from the Register of Wills

If you disagree with a decision made by the Register of Wills, you have the right to appeal that decision to the court. To do this, you file a petition, which is a formal written request asking the court to review what the Register decided.

The process for your appeal follows Chapter III of the Pennsylvania Orphans' Court Rules. You should also check your local court rules, since your county may have additional steps or requirements to follow.
