Plain-English Summary (for reference only — not a substitute for the rule text above)
This summary is not the rule. The rule text controls.
Some courts appoint a person called an official examiner to look into the finances of a fiduciary. A fiduciary is someone who manages money or property for another person, like an executor of an estate or a trustee.
The official examiner's job is to review the assets and financial transactions handled by that fiduciary. This helps the court make sure the money and property are being managed properly. The court can set up this process through a local rule or by ordering it in a specific case.
