Rule 7.2 Motion for Judgment on the Pleadings

This rule lets someone involved in a court case ask the judge to make a decision based only on the written statements both sides have filed, without needing a full hearing or trial. This request is called a "motion for judgment on the pleadings." It can only happen after both sides have finished filing their initial paperwork, and it has to happen early enough that it doesn't delay the case.

Basically, if the facts and claims laid out in the paperwork make it clear who should win, a party can ask the judge to decide the case right then. The judge will look at everything filed and issue whatever decision makes sense based on that paperwork alone.
