Rule 903 Subscribing Witness' Testimony Unnecessary

If a document has a witness who signed it to confirm it's real, you don't automatically need to bring that witness to court to prove the document is valid. You can usually prove the document is authentic through other means.

The only exception is if a specific law says otherwise. Some documents, depending on what type they are or which state's laws apply to them, might require the signing witness to testify. But for most everyday documents, you have other options to prove they're genuine, like comparing signatures, using witnesses who know the document, or other methods allowed under the evidence rules.

This rule basically saves time and hassle in court. It means people don't have to track down every witness who signed a document just to use that document as evidence, unless a specific law demands it.
