Section 1 Scope and Authority of Rules

Rule Text

(A) Purpose. These rules supplement the remedies and procedures set forth in the Post-Conviction Procedure Act (hereinafter the "Act"), Tenn. Code Ann. § 40-30-101 et seq.

(B) Authority. These rules are adopted pursuant to Tenn. Code Ann. § 40-30-118 (1996 Supp.) and the inherent authority of the Tennessee Supreme Court.
