Rule 14 Affidavit by Agent

If you need to sign a sworn statement (called an affidavit) for a civil court case in Texas, you do not have to sign it yourself. Someone who represents you, like your lawyer or another person acting on your behalf, can sign it for you.

This gives you flexibility when you are unavailable or unable to sign documents on your own. As long as someone with authority to act for you signs the affidavit, the court will accept it.
