Rule 181 Party as Witness

In a Texas civil case, you can call the other party in the lawsuit to testify as a witness. This means if you are suing someone, or being sued, the other side can put you on the stand and question you just like any other witness.

The court can also issue legal orders to force the other party to show up and testify if needed. The same rules that apply to getting any witness into court apply here too.
