Rule 268 Motion for Instructed Verdict

When you ask a judge to decide a case in your favor without letting the jury vote on it, you have to clearly explain why. You cannot just ask for the ruling; you must spell out the exact legal reasons you believe you should win.

This matters because a judge will not consider any reasons you did not include in your motion. If you leave out a reason, you generally cannot use it later to appeal the decision.
