Rule 306b Advice of Right to Appeal in Orders Certifying a Child TO STAND TRIAL AS AN ADULT

When a juvenile court decides that a child should be tried as an adult, the judge must tell the child and their lawyer about their right to appeal that decision. This notice must be given out loud in court and also written into the official court order.

The child has the right to appeal right away, and the appeal moves faster than a normal appeal. The court must make sure the child and their lawyer know both of these things before leaving court that day.
