Rule 49 Where Several Counts

When someone files a lawsuit, they often list multiple legal reasons (called "counts") why they should win. This rule says that if a jury or judge awards damages, the verdict still stands even if one or more of those reasons had a flaw or weakness in how it was written.

Think of it like a three-legged stool. If one leg is a little wobbly, the stool can still hold you up because the other legs are solid. As long as the court awards one total amount for all the claims together, a problem with one claim will not throw out the whole verdict.
