Rule 55 Judgment

When you bring up a court judgment or official decision in your case, you do not have to explain how that court or official had the authority to make the decision. You can simply state that the judgment or decision exists.

This applies to judgments from Texas courts, courts in other states or countries, and decisions made by boards or other official bodies. The rule keeps legal filings shorter and simpler by not requiring extra background information about why a court had the power to act.
