Rule 634 Execution Superseded

When someone loses a court case and wants to appeal, they can file a special bond called a supersedeas bond. This bond acts like a financial promise that the losing party will pay what they owe if the appeal does not go in their favor.

Once that bond is filed and approved on time, the court clerk must stop any collection efforts right away. This means if there was already an order to seize property or collect money, that process gets paused while the appeal moves forward.
