Rule 653 Resale of Property

If someone wins a bid at a court-ordered property sale but does not follow through with the purchase, the sale does not simply end there. The officer running the sale must try to sell the property again right away.

If there is enough time left that same day, the officer will hold a new sale immediately. If there is not enough time, the officer will start the whole process over, which means advertising the sale again and following the same steps used the first time.
