Rule 674 Trial of Issue

When someone disagrees with the garnishee's answer, the court will set up a formal dispute to be resolved. A garnishee is a person or business that may be holding money or property belonging to the defendant, like a bank or employer.

If the garnishee lives in the same county where the case is being handled, the court will treat the disagreement like any other court case. Both sides will have the chance to present their arguments and evidence, following the same process used in regular trials.
