Rule 757 Citation and Service

When someone files a petition to divide shared property, the court clerk must send a legal notice to every person who has a share in that property. This notice is called a citation.

The citation is sent out the same way as notices in other types of court cases. The rules for how it gets delivered and how much time is allowed follow the same process used in those other cases.
