Rule 76 May Inspect Papers

Lawyers have the right to look at court papers and records for any case they are working on. They can do this at any reasonable time, meaning during normal business hours when the court is open.

This rule helps lawyers do their jobs by making sure they can always access the documents they need. A court clerk or other court staff cannot block a lawyer from reviewing files that relate to their client's case.
