Rule 791 May Demand Abstract of Title

In a property dispute case, either side can ask the other side to explain their claim to the property in writing. This written explanation is called an abstract of title, and it lays out the basis for why that party believes they own or have rights to the property.

To make this request, you must send a written notice to the other party or their lawyer. The notice must be delivered at least 10 days before the trial starts. The request can only be made after the other side has filed their answer with the court.
