Rule 98 Supplemental Answers

When a plaintiff adds new information to their case, the defendant gets a chance to respond to that new information. This response is called a supplemental answer.

In a supplemental answer, the defendant can object to specific parts of what the plaintiff said, deny the plaintiff's new claims, or bring up new facts that counter what the plaintiff added. The defendant is basically getting a fair chance to keep up with any changes the plaintiff makes to their side of the case.
