Art. 22.07 COST OF PUBLICATION

When someone must be notified of a bail forfeiture through a published notice (usually because they can't be found), the county where the case is happening covers the cost of that publication. This cost gets added to the overall costs of the case, just like other court expenses.

In practical terms, this means the person who owes money on the forfeited bond won't be stuck paying extra fees just because the notice had to run in a newspaper. Instead, the county handles that expense upfront, and it becomes part of the total costs tied to the case.
