Art. 56A.554 REQUEST FOR NOTIFICATION; CHANGE OF ADDRESS

If you're a victim, witness, guardian, or close relative of someone involved in a case, you have the right to be told if the defendant escapes from custody or gets moved to a different facility under a writ of attachment or bench warrant. But this notification doesn't happen automatically. You have to reach out to the department yourself and ask to be put on the list.

It's also on you to keep your information current. If you move or change your address after signing up for notifications, you need to let the department know right away. If you don't update your address, you could miss important safety information because the department won't have a way to reach you.
