Rule 1007 Testimony or Statement of a Party to Prove Content

If you want to prove what a document, recording, or photo says or shows, you can use the other party's own words to do it. This includes their spoken testimony in court, their deposition, or a written statement they made.

When you use this method, you do not have to produce the original document or explain why you do not have it. The other party's own account of the content is enough on its own.
