Rule 77-2 Cases not Reached

If your case is scheduled for trial but the court doesn't get to it, or the case isn't finished that day, it doesn't just disappear or get dismissed. The court will simply set a new date for you.

This means you don't need to worry if your trial date comes and goes without your case being heard. This can happen for many reasons, like the court running out of time or other cases taking longer than expected. Your case stays active, and you'll be given another date to come back and have your matter heard.

Basically, this rule protects you from losing your case just because the court got backed up or ran out of time on your original date. The court has to reschedule instead of dropping your case.
