Rule 326 Forms.

This rule explains which paperwork to use when a case involves a magistrate judge in the Virgin Islands Superior Court. If everyone in a civil case agrees to let a magistrate judge handle it instead of a regular judge, they use Forms A, B, and C to make that agreement official. These forms show the court that both sides are on board with this choice.

Form D works differently. A judge uses this form to ask that a magistrate judge be brought in to hear a specific matter. This happens when the judge, not the parties, decides a magistrate judge should be involved.

In short, this rule sets up the paperwork system for assigning magistrate judges to civil cases, whether that assignment comes from the parties agreeing to it or from a judge requesting it.
