Washington's mandatory arbitration track, 27 rules in eight titles. Rule 1.1 applies them to arbitration of civil actions under RCW 7.06 and expressly not to arbitration by private agreement or under other statutes. The titles cover which matters are subject to arbitration and the relationship to the superior court's jurisdiction, transfer to arbitration and assignment of an arbitrator, the arbitrators themselves, procedure after assignment, the hearing, the award, and — Title 7 — the trial de novo by which a party escapes the award.
