Rule 56 Interpreters

If you or someone else in your family court case needs help understanding English, the court can bring in an interpreter to help. The judge gets to pick who the interpreter is, and the judge decides how much that person should be paid for their work.

The good news is that you won't have to cover this cost yourself. The money to pay the interpreter comes from public funds set aside for this purpose, not from you or the other people involved in the case.
