Rule 3.3 Appointment

The West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals picks the people who serve on the Board. Once someone is appointed, they need to go through an orientation program within their first six months on the job. The Office of Disciplinary Counsel runs this training.

This rule makes sure that everyone serving on the Board gets proper training early on. New members learn how the disciplinary process works before they take on a full role in handling cases. This helps keep the process consistent and fair, since all Board members start with the same basic understanding of their duties.
