Rule 7.15 Reporting

Every two years, judges in West Virginia have to prove they've kept up with their required training. This rule sets the deadline for that proof: July 31, 1997, and then every other July 31 after that.

Judges must file a report showing they completed their minimum continuing education requirements. This report goes to the Administrative Director, who is also in charge of creating the form judges use to file this information.

In short, this rule makes sure judges keep learning and growing in their legal knowledge, and it holds them accountable by requiring regular proof of that ongoing education.
