Rule 19 Harmless error

Small mistakes made during a court case do not automatically ruin the outcome. If a minor error happens but it doesn't really hurt either side's ability to get a fair hearing, the magistrate is supposed to ignore it and move forward.

This rule exists so that cases aren't thrown out or overturned over technical slip-ups that don't actually change anything important. The focus stays on whether someone's real rights were harmed, not on catching every small paperwork issue or procedural misstep. So if you're involved in a case and you notice a minor error, it likely won't matter unless it actually affected your ability to present your side or get a fair result.
