This rule sets up how often a special group, called the Commission on Dispute Resolution, has to meet and report on its work. The Commission is a group created by the Alabama Supreme Court to oversee mediation and other ways of resolving disputes outside of regular court trials.
The rule says the Commission must meet at least four times a year, once each quarter. Every time it meets, someone has to write down minutes, which are notes about what was discussed and decided. Once a year, the Commission has to send all of these notes to the Alabama Supreme Court so the Court can see what the Commission has been doing.
For regular people, this rule mostly matters behind the scenes. It does not directly affect how your case gets mediated, but it helps make sure the group in charge of mediation rules and programs stays active and accountable to the state's highest court.
