Rule 8.926 Notice of briefing schedule

After all the case documents are filed with the appeals court, the court clerk mails a notice to everyone involved in the case. This notice tells each party's lawyer, or the party themselves if they don't have a lawyer, exactly when their written arguments (called briefs) need to be turned in.

This notice is important because missing a brief deadline can seriously hurt your case. If you are part of an appeal, watch your mail carefully after the record is filed so you know your deadlines.
