Local Rule L.R. 83-4.5: Student Appearance

L.R. 83-4.5 Student Appearance. On the law student's behalf, the supervising attorney must e-file in the Court's Case Management/Electronic Case Filing system an application as well as all of the supporting documentation set forth in L.R. 83-4.2, 4.3, and 4.4 above, in a miscellaneous case, for the review of the Chief District Judge. The Chief District Judge will determine whether to approve the application for certification. Upon approval from the Chief District Judge, the supervising attorney must move, either orally or in writing, in advance of any proceeding for the authorization of the presiding judge to permit the certified law student to make oral presentations before this Court when accompanied by the supervising attorney. It is at the discretion of each presiding judge to approve or deny the request of a certified law student to participate in any proceeding, subject to the limitations in L.R. 83-4.6.
