Rule 124 Procedure on Hearing Exceptions to Account

When a court hearing is held to review objections to a financial account, there is a set order for who speaks. The person raising the objections, called the "exceptant," goes first and presents their case.

After that, the guardian or trustee who filed the account gets to respond. Then the exceptant gets one more chance to speak and answer anything brought up in that response. This back-and-forth order is similar to how most court hearings work, where the person challenging something speaks first and last.
