Rule 1002 Commencing a Bankruptcy Case

COMMENCING A BANKRUPTCY CASE; THE PETITION, THE ORDER FOR RELIEF, AND RELATED MATTERS

(a) In General.

A bankruptcy case is commenced by filing a petition with the clerk.

(b) Copy to the United States Trustee.

The clerk must promptly send a copy of the petition to the United States trustee.
