Rule 1.030 Nonverification of Pleadings

When you have a lawyer representing you in a Florida civil case, your legal documents like complaints and answers do not need to be sworn or notarized. You do not need to sign them under oath or attach an affidavit to prove they are true.

There are some exceptions. Certain court rules or Florida laws may require verification for specific types of documents. In those cases, the rule or law will clearly say so.
