Rule 3.080 Nonverification of Pleadings

If you have a lawyer representing you in a criminal case, most of your written court documents do not need to be sworn or signed under oath. You also do not need to attach an affidavit to most documents your lawyer files for you.

There are some exceptions. Certain court rules or laws may require specific documents to be verified or sworn. When that is required, the rules will say so directly.
