Rule 90.107 Limited admissibility

Sometimes a piece of evidence is allowed in court for one specific reason, but it cannot be used against a different person or for a different purpose. When this happens, the judge must tell the jury exactly how they can and cannot use that evidence.

For example, a statement might be used to show someone's state of mind, but not to prove a fact about another person in the case. The jury needs to hear these limits right away, not just at the end of the trial.

If you are involved in a case and you want the judge to give the jury these instructions, you need to ask for them. The judge will not automatically do it on their own.
