Rule 6.320 Complaint; Summons; Forms; Use

When a police officer or other official charges someone with a traffic violation in Florida, they must use a specific standard form called a uniform traffic citation. This is the ticket you receive when pulled over for speeding or other traffic offenses.

The form used must follow the rules set out in Florida law. In some cases, an affidavit (a written, sworn statement) can be used instead of the standard ticket form.
