Rule 12-2 Jury Selection

When picking a jury in Georgia's Business Court, the judge has wide control over how the process works. The judge can give parties extra time to prepare after questioning potential jurors, but this is not guaranteed.

When it comes to removing jurors without giving a reason (called peremptory challenges), the judge can set a time limit. That limit can be as short as one minute per challenge.

If a party takes too long and misses the time limit, they lose that challenge. This means you need to be ready to make quick decisions during jury selection, because the judge does not have to give extra time.
