Rule 14-3 Relief if Leave Granted

If a judge gives an attorney permission to be excused (called "leave"), that attorney does not have to show up for any part of the case during that time. This includes trials, hearings, depositions, and any other legal proceedings connected to that case.

This only applies if the judge has not already issued a separate order saying otherwise. A judge could put limits on the excusal if they choose to do so.
